Dr. Tendler is board certified in general psychiatry, obesity medicine and sleep medicine. He sees adolescents to geriatric patients thirty hours a week, and is engaged in clinical research and education on neuromodulation as the Chief Medical Officer for BrainsWay thirty hours a week. He does not treat patients who in his assessment are not functioning well and do not want to change their regimen; he does not prescribe sedatives simultaneously with stimulants or opioids; he does not prescribe stimulants to patients on cannabis; he does not refill medications between scheduled appointments; he does not write letters for disability/attorneys/custody/landlords etc. He focuses on somatic and behavioral treatments to improve functioning. His schedule has been fully booked a month in advance for several years. New patients cannot be guaranteed follow up beyond the initial evaluation. It will depend on several factors including the level of care the patient needs, the amount of outside support the patient has, interest in the suggested plan of care and mutual availability. Most weeks Dr. Tendler evaluates four new patients and fifty-two returning patients.
Most of Dr. Tendler’s peer reviewed publications are listed below. Some journals may charge additional fees for full access to the articles.
