Meet Dr. Tendler

A founding member of Advanced Mental Health Care, Aron Tendler, MD, is proud of the success that he and his team have had in treating a wide range of mental health disorders. Since 2006, the practice has expanded and now includes four psychiatrists and more than 4,000 patients.

Dr. Tendler’s educational path began with his undergraduate studies in biology at Yeshiva University Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Tendler expanded his skills and knowledge through his work at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Tulane University Hospital, and the University of Chicago, where he served as chief resident and course director for psychosomatic medicine.  

Dr. Tendler’s primary area of research involves the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation in the treatment of patients with treatment-refractory psychiatric disorders. He has published extensively in this area and is the principal investigator on several multicenter clinical trials.

In his role at Advanced Mental Health Care, Dr. Tendler approaches each patient as an individual, taking the time to get to know the person as a whole as he works to find the best possible treatment path.
